چکیده

Excitation functions for the strongly dissipative collision 19F (Elab = 135 − 140 MeV)+89Y with an energy step of 250 keV in the lab. system have been measured. The data are consistent with previous measurements and exhibit oscillations, which are interpreted as an indication of quantum chaotic phenomena in dissipative heavy-ion collisions. The Fourier component of the energy autocorrelation of the total projectile-like angle-integrated dissipative yield has been calculated and is found to have a pulsing behaviour with a time interval between sequential pulses equal to the period of the coherent nuclear rotation. This provides another possibility of experimentally detecting quantum chaos in dissipative heavyion collisions. PACS: 24.60.Ky; 25.70.Lm

Fourier analysis of nonself-averaging quasiperiodic oscillations in the excitation functions of dissipative heavy-ion collisions: quantum chaos in dissipative heavy-ion collisions?

We employ stochastic modelling of statistical reactions with memory to study quasiperiodic oscillations in the excitation functions of dissipative heavy-ion collisions. The Fourier analysis of excitation function oscillations is presented. It suggests that S-matrix spin and parity decoherence, damping of the coherent nuclear rotation and quantum chaos are sufficient conditions to explain the no...

A Phenomenological Study on Inelastic Torsion Caused By Nonlinear Behavior Changes during Earthquake Excitations

Torsion of many symmetric structures, which were designed based on the seismic codes, is due to their asymmetricity induced during inelastic behavior. Although the structure was designed symmetrically assuming elastic based criteria, different factors such as material inconsistency in structure, construction details discrepancy and construction errors may result in asymmetric behavior in inelas...

برانگیختگی و میرایی نوسانات عرضی در حلقه‌های تاج توسط پدیده ویک

Transversal oscillation of coronal loops that are interpreted as signatures of magneto hydrodynamics (MHD) waves are observed frequently in active region corona loops. The amplitude of this oscillation has been found to be strongly attenuated. The damping of transverse oscillation may be produced by the dissipation mechanism and the wake of the traveling disturbance. The damping of transversal ...

A quantum chaotic clock and damping of the coherent nuclear rotation in the 28 Si + 64 Ni dissipative collision

We employ the statistical reactions with memory approach to study oscillating excitation functions in the Si(Elab = 120 − 126.75 MeV)+64Ni strongly dissipative reaction and the time evolution of the collision process. The nonself-averaging of the oscillations in the excitation functions is interpreted as indication of quantum chaos and damping of the coherent nuclear rotation in dissipative hea...

Phenomena Nd the Short Distance Structure of Hadrons

In certain cases, nuclear corrections to hadronic phenomena depend in detail on the nature of quark and gluon interactions, as well as the effects of jet development within the nuclear medium. In this talk I review applications of quantum chromodynamics to fast particle production in nuclear collisions, nuclear form factors, and shadowing in deep inelastic lepton processes. I also discuss a new...
